Deadmatrix

Nemesis Prime opens the Dead Matrix.

Nemesis Prime is a dark clone of an Optimus Prime and a Herald of Unicron. He carries the Dead Matrix.

Profile

The Dark clone of Optimus Prime who made his first appearance in the Transformers Armada animated series, and was followed up in the Cybertron comic series with his Transformers Universe toy likeness in the club comic.

Cybertron

The multiverse is full of alternate Transformers histories. In one such universe, an Optimus Prime was left for dead by Megazarak to rot on the shores of the Rust Sea.

The Prime was cloned by Unicron, and awoke slowly to the dark god's torture. Completely broken, this Prime is Unicron's eternal servant and begs for the consuming nothing of Unicron's victory over the multiverse. Anything is preferable to the flood of infinite suffering that is his existence.

Nemesis Prime transforms from robot to mammoth modes. He carries an over and under plasma pluse cannon and semi-automatic fusion rocket launcher. His arms conceal 22mm machine guns, and his hips house variable-frequency lasers. His only weakness is what tiny, rotten portion is left of his honor.

Armada

Nemesis Prime made his public debut during the Unicron Battles portion of the Armada television programming. He was a savage killing machine, deserted on a planet of techno-organic sand and mechanical trees. He had the ability to summon a shadow clone of the Star Saber and used it to strike down several characters in the Armada story. Nemesis Prime was defeated by Optimus Primes' Overload cannon unit, and was then revealed to have been controlled by Sideways. It is accepted that Nemesis Prime lives on after that incident, but was never seen again in a mainstream Transformers cartoon.

Toy

Nemesis Prime has had two official released in the United States. His first appearance was a dark green and tan repaint of Supercon Optimus Prime in Armada, and his second release was a repaint of Takara's Big Convoy for the Transformers Universe toyline. Nemesis Prime will make his official Alternators debut as a black repaint of Optimus Prime in fall 2006, possibly marking the first insertion of Nemesis Prime into a Generation One line.
